When we arrived in HangZhou, Geoff Ollis met us at the train station. He took us for dinner and a few drinks. It's cool having a BASE jumper guide who speaks the language to cruise around the city with.
Next morning we got up an tried to head out to see some of the sites but, it was raining, the first time on this trip. Instead we stuck around Geoff's neighborhood, then got some Chinese wine and just hung out at his place. Some wine, turned into 4 bottles!
Our 2nd day in HangZhou, and the weather was better so we got out to see the city. There's a big man made lake that's over 1000yrs old in the middle of the city. After a tour of that, we wheeled about 5-7km through downtown. The drivers here are wild!! Red lights don't mean anything to some of them so, we had a few close calls. Felt like a live game of Frogger.
We're off to Shanghai in the morning.
